ScreenSmarts Solution delivers personalised content to smartphones and digital signage simultaneously
Sydney, 22nd September 2015 – Fujitsu today announces a partnership with iProximity that gives marketers in Australia and New Zealand a new way to drive engagement and interaction with customers in retail environments by delivering personalised content and targeted offers to customers’ smartphones and on near-located digital signage simultaneously. This solution allows a business to provide a level of customer engagement that has not been seen before in the region, with better analytics and a faster speed to market for new campaigns and promotions.
Retailers, advertisers and marketers can deliver personalised content including welcome messages, special offers, discounts, product suggestions and reviews to their customers’ mobile devices and simultaneously trigger brand and product information to be displayed on digital signage near the customer.
Stewart Cathie, Digital Media Director at Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand, said: “This partnership enables us to provide a personalised marketing solution that gives customers a new dimension in terms of customer experience. Through integrated content on mobile devices and digital signage we can guide the customer through the complete buying process in a retail environment. We can use the platform to trigger specific content messages as the customer moves through the store and also suggest related products to match a customer’s previous purchase.”
David Burden, Founder of iProximity, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Fujitsu Digital Media team on this exciting next development of digital signage. One of the important factors for us is the actual customer experience and that is often driven by the speed that we can change the content on the signage. Fujitsu’s TELentice system is the fastest and most reliable system we have worked with, which means those consumer surprise and delight moments can be really captured, resulting in high levels of brand engagement.”

Immersive Product Information
In this example a NFC tag is added to a product or display. When the NFC tag is tapped by a compatible smartphone a menu of information is displayed on the consumer’s smartphone.
As can be seen in the video below, once the consumer selects an item from the smartphone menu, the selected content immediately is displayed on the digital signage.
ScreenSmarts offers many different ways to connect and interact with the consumer’s smartphone and digital signage. Please contact us for more information.
Proximity Based Digital Signage Control
ScreenSmarts also utilises iProximity’s Beacon Solution which allows the content of a digital sign to be changed based on the presence of a known customer. This provides retailers with another way to actively engage with consumers and deliver contextual content to that consumer based on their proximity.
In the following video known customers are greeted on arrival as their names are floated over the existing signage content.
